JUNK DE LUXE MEN'S COLLECTION SPRING / SUMMER 2012
NEW CLASSICS, OLD FAVOURITES
Junk de Luxe draws inspiration from the wardrobe of the famous painter Pablo Picasso and the 70’ties slightly hippy rock vintage look. The designers pursue past rarities and vintage garments that are now sought from today's flea markets, reinterpreting them in a modern way. A remarkable updated reflection on classic evergreens is offered in alternative ways, like the famous Breton sailor stripe in form of T-shirts and knitwear.
ARTIST’S SIGNATURE LOOK
The designers proposals for the coming season not only interpret the artist’s signature look of striped jerseys boat neck jumpers, utility jackets and casual jackets, but also his understanding and passion for sartorial classics and cool casuals. Detailing and styles swing from sportswear to dandy suits and shirts. Marine, military and rock Junk de Luxe blends and moulds themes and inspirations - like a deconstructed, cubistic work of Picasso.
Outwear garments from 60’ies parka coats to 70’ies leather jackets are seen in discordant combos with ultra slim tailored trousers or cool chinos in crumbled, washed out cotton fabrics. Uniform jackets are seen with “tailored” jogging pants and sailor jerseys in bold stripes running wild. Trousers, loose and less sartorial, made out of used, embossed cottons or heavy jerseys are accompanied by duffle coats and downplayed redesigns of army shirts in cotton-linen fabrics.
THE CULT ITEMS
The cult items are the classy series of leather jackets in a rock, vintage or sport designs deliberately reworked using special washers and innovative detailing. The range of colours is made of neutral shades, greys and indigo blue enhanced by flashes of red and yellow. A young and cosmopolitan collection, but always coherent with the brand’s heritage.

JUNK DE LUXE MEN'S COLLECTION AUTUMN / WINTER 2011
“A TALLAHASSEE LASSY ONCE ASKED ME:
HOW CAN YOU ROCK SO ROUGH AND BE SO CLASSY?"
ROCK ’N’ ROLL AND PREPPY DESIGNS
Junk de Luxe returns with a parade of rock ’n’ roll, preppy designs in true Mick Jagger, anarchistic style. The designs welcome you with a collection packed with uniform references in the form of glam and military. Workwear designs like shirts, trousers, jackets and army inspired pants are cleverly combined with other, more rock ’n’ roll items like sexy tight suits with semi-open shirts.
A vibrant and extreme platoon of casual jackets shirts styled with extra long chunky knits in an unusual layering with sartorial gold buttoned reefers. You will find discordant combos like square shirts worn under authentic anti-fashion sailor jumpers styled with tailored, low crotched pants.
A more urban part of the collection presents the Junk tradition, i.e. “democratic designs”. A series of classics are sharing the same new “square” and deconstructed silhouettes in washed out classical fabrics, recalling the look of the English gentleman in the 60’ties - but characterized by transformation: Double breasted blazers with gold buttons combined with slim leather jeans, slim sweaters layered over mini collared shirts combined with the cult items of the collection: The leather jackets, washed out, crumpled with heavy zippers, waist-fitted, ultra-slim and aged canvas parkas for the individual dissidents are playing with extremes.
I CAN'T GET NO SATISFACTION!
Imagine a young Mick Jagger in printed T-and wrinkled in various progressive and vintage designs.
Another iconic piece of the collection is the amazing sartorial tuxedo with two buttons and trimmed lapels in a rock touch look seen with deconstructed carrot pants. So chic and cool. “I can’t get no satisfaction!” Mick Jagger sings responding in a constant playful search for the perfect look and neurotic combos.

JUNK DE LUXE MEN'S COLLECTION SPRING / SUMMER 2011
BOY SCOUTS AND BEATNIKS
With its own distinctive original style the Junk de Luxe designers playfully challenge all the codes and canons of the masculine wardrobe. Everything is mixed together for a personal look and inspiration is drawn from army- and sportswear in the seventies, pop art in the sixties and new wave in the eighties. With a slightly retro flavour Junk de Luxe is still faithful to its vintage roots and the beatnik culture. In an experimental, wise mix a succession of colourful and discordant combos are presented: skinny silhouettes for daily looks where fitted, raw, washed out cotton trousers are combined with used tie-dye jerseys and camouflage army jackets.
ARMY COLOURS
Army is this seasons favourite colour, appearing as a balancing element to stabilize multi-zipped nylon jackets and bold stripes running wild.
THE SUITS
Suit jackets, slim and short, both sartorial and casual, made out of crumpled, coated fabrics are accompanied with loose work wear pants and sexy, short sleeved, army shirts. Fresh and cool!
THE JACKETS
Fine washed and worn leather jackets are matched with denim shirts and stone washed jersey “sweat pants” with rock-chic effects. The JUNK dissident rocks hard, but with class…
THE CLASSIC LINE
In the classic line of the collection every garment is designed to stand on its own as a unique piece, rather than being designed according to trends or fashion clichés. But new quirky combos, shapes and input for the new JUNK boy scout allow him to be ”anarchistic modernistic” - and less “stereotypistic”.
